UPDATE ALERT: January 5, 2018  It was heart warming seeing people of all religions, races, and political differences working together for the common goal of coming to the aid of anyone afflicted by the of Hurricanes and Floods in the Houston Metro-area last year. The harmony, love and compassion shown in unity, to help others, is true Oneness and the term,  one with God can be felt, when it does happens. The inspiration to use the Festival’s platform to provide assistance came from those efforts, and its also the inspiration for the 2018 Theme “Oneness Loves Harmony”

About the Festival & Helping Those in Need

Asking the public for bags of non-perishable foods and donation and discount admission benefiting local charities began as far back as the early eighties, and it has always been the mission of LORRF from day one, (formally the Bob Marley Festival Tour).

This year the producers are expanding those efforts by providing opportunities that focus on helping the mom and pop vendors (Registered For Chance To Get Free Vendor Fees powered by a Sponsor Crowd-funding campaign)  If you supported the Festival before, and need recovery assistance, e-mail us, so LORRF or its partners can see if we can help quicken the process. Help Opportunities For Those in Need

The goal is to help rebuild 25 homes in flooded neighborhoods especially in urban lower income areas, which are still waiting on the assistance or help necessary to restore homes. A festival producer said, “It is unfortunate because these areas are some of the most diverse and in need of our help now, because they have been overlooked and ignored” We are partnering with local organizations filtering families and will assist in identifying those who need emergency assistance.
