THE 2007 ANNUAL LEGENDS OF
RASTA REGGAE FESTIVAL "ETERNAL HOPE" TOUR
(Formerly the Annual Bob
Marley Festival Tour)
The 2007
Annual
"ETERNAL
HOPE" Tour
(Formerly the Annual
Bob Marley Festival Tour)
the original Reggae
Festival Tour which has stopped in over 45 cities around the World
for the past 21 years has changed it’s name. This year marks the
21st year of it’s origin and 17th year the Festival Tour has
traveled the world making, it the longest running Touring Festival
in the world to spread awareness of Reggae Music and messages of
Love, Peace & Unity along with a higher consciousness of the
temporal spirit, culture awareness and one people of righteousness
ways. The Festival Tour is a Promotional Tour featuring the Next
generation of Reggae and Worldbeat music superstars along with
select Legendary acts.
In continuing
with the history and tradition of the Festival and in the sprit of
Reggae music and “ETERNAL HOPE” the first 400 fans
are able to get in between the hours of Noon/2: 00 PM and
2/4:00 PM with an $8 bag of non-perishable food or a
minimum of a $5 donation towards selected nonprofit's. As
always there will be over 8 to 10 acts daily per stage along with
the dancehall DJ’s between sets, plenty of great Ethic and Festival
foods as well as Arts & Crafts from all over the world. The 2007
Tour theme is “ETERNAL HOPE”.
The diversity
of the American community, (which includes fans of reggae, dance
hall and world-beat music) has been very generous to the Festival
mission statement. In 1991, the Festival began its now very popular
tradition of asking the public for donations in lieu of admission
during the first 2/3 hours each day, to benefit participating
nonprofits. In 2007 the Tour’s charities will be those that benefit
Victims of natural disasters both National and Local charities all
501(c)(3) organization. Over the last 20 years, this
tradition has generated over $1,090,000 in cash and over 2 million
pounds of food, school supplies and books for nonprofit
organizations throughout the US through donations at these events.
“ETERNAL
HOPE” the
theme of the 2007 Legends Tour reflects not only the messages of
Reggae and Worldbeat music and is the foundation for what the
Festival has always stood for, and also what is needed in the world
now. With so much strife, terrorism and conflict going on in the
world today, people everywhere are searching for “ETERNIAL HOPE”
in Peace, Love Unity in and all that they are involved in.
There or very few
vehicles that provide a chance to understand various different
cultures, (such as the Annual Legends of Rasta Reggae Festival
Tour) in today’s society. It is imperative that the Tour
continues to stop in select Cities and to promote "ETERNAL HOPE".
"It has been said that sooner or later we all will see, a change
over everyone even he, and when that day does arrives there will be
no Black, White, Brown, Yellow or Red, and all chances of
discrimination will be dead as and because we all will have aged,
and the true color of each human at that time will be the most
Beautiful of colors, Beige.""
Taken from the song "Beautiful Beige".
The Annual
Legends of Rasta Reggae Festival Tour features performances by
the next generation of reggae and world beat music superstars and
select Legendary act. A core group of 20-25 acts are selected to be
part of the Tour each year.

the Tour, local bands are added to provide a unique regional flavor
to the Festival. Dance troupes, jugglers, and poets may provide
offstage entertainment. Children of all ages will enjoy our
Playscape Area featuring games, rides, and storytellers in select
cities.

years, the Tour will feature Caribbean, African, and Third World
