The History of
The Annual Legends of
Rasta Reggae Festival Tour
(Formerly the Annual Bob Marley Festival Tour)
(Houston, TX) -
The 2007 "Annual Legends of Rasta Reggae Festival Tour"
(Formerly the Annual Bob Marley Festival Tour) the original
Reggae Festival Tour which has stopped in over 45 cities around the
World for the past 18 years, has changed it's name. (The name
change was due to the image that was associated with the former name
of the Festival, which actually served to prevent corporate sponsors
from being associated with the event in past years).
This year marks the 15th year the Festival has traveled the world to
spread awareness of Reggae music and the Rastafarian messages of a
higher consciousness of the temporal spirit, peace, unity and one
people of righteousness. The unique concept of the Festival remains
in place and will allow fans to recognize the original and not be
misled by others.
In continuing with the history and tradition of the
Festival and in the sprit of Rasta, fans are able to get in between
the hours of Noon and 2:00/4:00 PM for $8 bag of non-perishable food
or a $5 cash donation. As always there will be over 10 acts daily
along with the Dancehall DJ's between sets, plenty of Caribbean
foods as well as Arts & Crafts from all over the world.
The"Annual Legends of Rasta Reggae Festival Tour"
(Formerly the Annual Bob Marley Festival Tour) is preparing to
make its annual yearly tour of approximately thirteen to twenty plus
cities throughout the United States and world. This year marks the

North Africa's Leonard P. Howell, the man most credit with the
initial spreading of the Rastafarian Way to Jamaica, believes as did
Rasta mentor Mortimo Planno of Peter Tosh & the rest of the Wailers,
that "Everyone, regardless of race or religion, is a Rasta deep
within; it is up to the person to recognize this. Therefore, one
does not turn Rasta; Rasta turns one. One does not become Rasta; one
becomes conscious of Rasta"." The Annual Bob Marley Festival Tour

positive consciousness, peace and unity among all nations and
